Lighting Artist

About

Hi, I'm Michiel van Ommen. I'm a visual artist for games and videos. Currently I am residing in Germany, working on the project Iron Harvest at King Art GmbH as a full time employee.

I started off my game development career at the game academy IGAD in the Netherlands where I have learned the fundamentals of being an artist for AAA development. Along that I came across Houdini which I still occasionally use for creative creation.

Before that, I did an apprenticeship as a draftsman in Biel (Switzerland) due to the lack of any digital art academies in my surrounding.
After having received a certificate in engineering, I strove to join a game academy in a different country.

My interests lie in games, movies, roleplaying, and solving technical problems.
